
Daniel Young
Daniel has been a security and risk advisor for more than 20 years, and is passionate about helping companies to better understand their risks. Dan previously served as the Regional Bioterrorism Coordinator for District 1 in Michigan and he has also acted as the Private Security Liaison for the City of Lansing’s Critical Infrastructure Team. He is a Co-Founder of the CSO Risk Council, a think tank of seasoned security professionals and thought leaders and an instructor at Michigan State University teaching security and risk analysis courses.
He earned a BA and MS in Criminal Justice from Michigan State University and an MBA in Entrepreneurship from Trident University.
Daniel is a Co-Founder of Do 1 Thing, a non-profit organization that helps individuals and families prepare for a disaster which won the White House Champion of Change in 2014.
