Title: School Safety in 2023: Three Proven Concepts That Save Lives with Realistic, Affordable, and Modern Applications

Description:

This session will reveal the three main concepts for school safety in 2023: (1) target hardening through hazardous and vulnerability assessments, (2) consistent and realistic education in school safety for school staff, administrators, and first responders, and (3) digital leakage and its direct correlation to almost all school attacks, and how to use the data to prevent future tragedy.

This presentation is not unique, but the concept of using all three tools for school safety is rarely discussed. The case studies of digital leakage will be the first of their kind for many attendees and will have a long and lasting impact on their perception of what goes into  school attack prevention and investigations.

Learning Objective #1: Understand where the vulnerabilities exist in our nation’s school safety and system’s security protocols while looking at past failures due to missing one or all of the three concepts.

Learning Objective #2: Recognize how digital leakage is the most promising and reliable approach to preventing, assessing, and responding to threats.

Learning Objective #3: Learn about digital leakage scenarios and the benefits of having this knowledge to prevent violence.

Type: All Access Education
