Title: The Corporate Security Role in Building an Insider Threat Program

Description:

Innovative organizations, especially those companies that work in critical technology areas, are actively being targeted by foreign influence threat groups to compromise employees and supply chain partners to gain access to trade secrets, IP, and other non-public information. Corporate security professionals play a crucial role in integrating core security disciplines into the internal workflows to build-out insider threat program capabilities. This presentation details how security professionals can take a leading role in building and leading insider threat programs by leveraging their expertise in enterprise security risk management, asset identification, policy enforcement, incident management, and investigation. The insider threat risk management practice requires those security program components to successfully identify, assess, investigate, and remediate risks.

Learning Objective #1: Map traditional security management disciplines to the build-out of an insider threat program.

Learning Objective #2: Describe the requisite components of an insider threat program.

Learning Objective #3: Apply practical steps to effectively design, implement, manage, and continuously improve the insider risk management efforts inside your organization.
