A unified identity framework that connects physical and cyber identity credentials provides a frictionless and secure employee experience for an organization's workforce, especially for frontline workers who often struggle with complex technology and sophisticated password policies. This is achieved by connecting existing badge identity in Physical Access Control Systems with HR and IT systems, enabling SSO integrations, using facial recognition (FR) for authentication, retrofitting existing PACS with mobile access, and automating employee onboarding processes. The session will cover the unique challenges faced by frontline workers logging into shared devices and best practices for integrating physical with cyber identity using FR. Issues addressed will include data privacy, security, compliance, and the human side of the user experience.
