Event Information

Title: Stop The Next Mass Shooter: A Workplace Violence Tabletop Exercise

Description:

Utilizing the ASIS approach to Workplace Violence and Active Assailant Prevention, Intervention, and Response, participants will walk through a mock scenario from inception to conclusion involving a threat of mass violence from a subject internal to the organization. This session will be fully interactive and incorporate role playing to maximize participation and engagement as the scenario unfolds.  

Learning Objective #1: Understand the warning signs that individuals display prior to an act of mass violence.

Learning Objective #2: Know the methodology involved to effectively intervene and de-escalate a subject on the "pathway to violence" in accordance with industry standards and best practices.

Learning Objective #3: Have the opportunity to both participate and observe how the principles of workplace violence prevention are put into action.
